At Stourhead Healthcare, our mission is simple yet profound: to create nurturing homes where young people can heal from past experiences, develop essential life skills, and move towards brighter, more independent futures.
We understand that children who come into residential care often carry with them experiences of loss, trauma, instability, and adversity. That’s why everything we do at Stourhead Healthcare is built around empathy, consistency, and a belief in the potential of every child.
Our vision is to provide a safe space where young people feel protected and valued — where they can rebuild their trust in adults and society. We aspire to give every child not just care, but hope.
Our Core Values:
💛 Safety
Providing a physically and emotionally safe environment is our highest priority. We offer structured, stable settings with clear boundaries, where young people can begin to feel secure and protected.
💛 Respect
We honour each young person’s voice, needs, and rights. We listen without judgment, value individuality, and involve young people in decisions about their lives whenever possible.
💛 Empowerment
We believe in enabling young people to become active participants in their own care and future. Through choice, encouragement, and positive risk-taking, we build self-confidence and autonomy.
💛 Compassion
We act with kindness and understanding. Our team works to see the world through the eyes of the children we support, offering patient, empathetic care that meets them where they are.
💛 Aspiration
We maintain a belief in each child’s ability to achieve great things. We set high, realistic expectations and celebrate achievements both big and small, helping young people believe in themselves again.
These values are not just words to us — they are woven into every interaction, every policy, and every plan we make.
They guide our recruitment, our staff training, and our relationships with young people, families, and professionals.
At Stourhead Healthcare, we don’t just provide residential care — we create opportunities for children to heal, discover who they are, and reach for the future they deserve.
At Stourhead Healthcare, we know that it’s people — not buildings — who make a house a home. Our team is made up of compassionate, skilled professionals who are dedicated to supporting young people to heal, grow, and thrive.
Every member of our staff is selected for their experience, empathy, and genuine commitment to making a difference. We invest in their training, wellbeing, and development — because outstanding care can only happen when the people delivering it feel supported and valued.
